Every tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded, stored, or logged on our servers.
The WhatsApp Markdown Editor helps you write and preview formatted WhatsApp messages. It supports every formatting option WhatsApp understands: *bold*, _italic_, ~strikethrough~, ```monospace```, `inline code`, bulleted and numbered lists, and quotes.
The quick-insert toolbar wraps your selection in the right markers, and the chat-bubble preview shows how the message will look once sent. When it's ready, copy the text or open it straight in WhatsApp. Everything runs in your browser โ your message never touches our servers.
FAQ
WhatsApp supports *bold*, _italic_, ~strikethrough~, ```monospace```, `inline code`, bulleted lists (- or * followed by a space), numbered lists (1. followed by a space), and quotes (> followed by a space). It does not support headings, tables, horizontal rules, underline, or [text](url) links.
The markers must sit directly against the text with no spaces inside them: *bold* works but * bold * does not. They also can't be glued to letters or numbers on the outside, so 2*3*4 or snake_case_name stay as plain text.
Yes. Nest different markers around the same text, for example *_bold italic_* or ~*bold strikethrough*~. You can't nest the same marker inside itself.
Single backticks (`code`) show a short snippet as inline code with a subtle background. Triple backticks (```text```) switch the text to a monospace font and can span multiple lines, which is handy for commands or aligned text.
Copy the text and paste it into any WhatsApp chat, or use the Open in WhatsApp button, which opens WhatsApp with the message pre-filled so you can pick a contact. WhatsApp applies the formatting when the message is displayed.
No. Formatting and preview run entirely in your browser. The text only leaves your device if you click Open in WhatsApp, which hands it to WhatsApp directly.
